Poor Roxy. She’s not even two years old, sweet and gentle but has had a rough start to life. She was an unwanted gift who was passed around a bit. Nothing too hurtful but the poor darling just wants a permanent human to love.
Her history explains her mannerisms too. She’s ever so eager to please and just throws all the love she has at you, desperately hoping you’ll reciprocate and be the one.
Roxy is going to make an absolutely wonderful pet. We spoil her at the shelter but to truly blossom she needs to find that one loving, stable household.
Roxy is active so if you like going for a jog or a long walk, she’ll love you even more. Come and meet Roxy, she has so much love to give.

There is years and years of anecdotal evidence to suggest certain cats get along best with certain types of personalities in cat owners. Some cats, like their potential owners, want all the attention. Some want to play all day and some just want to be left alone.
Martha’s personality is one of independence. Let’s put it into human terms, if she was your roomie.
Person: “My friend is coming over to watch K-Pop Demon Hunters, want to chill on the couch with us?”
Martha: “Heck yes!” **snuggles in**
Person: “My auntie Susan is coming over tomorrow with her two kids, want to hang?’
Martha: “Heck no! I’m out.” **hides**
When you adopt Martha, she will quickly warm to you. But she needs to be allowed to do her own thang too.
RSPCA ACT is pleading with Canberra dog owners to desex their pets with record numbers of pregnant mums and unwanted litters arriving at the shelter.
The striking Staffordshire Bull Terrier known as ‘Boss,’ has now lived at the RSPCA ACT shelter for one full year.
